Retro Print — match day graphic template
Retro Print is a matchday poster template for football and soccer clubs with a vintage print look: a gradient MATCH DAY wordmark that echoes down the page as ghost type, a player cut-out with their name and position, both crests and the kickoff. The wordmark is a text field, so it can read GAME DAY, DERBY DAY or SENIOR NIGHT.
It treats the fixture announcement like something you would pin to the clubhouse wall. The palette comes from the colours you saved at setup and the fixture details fill themselves in, so the poster look takes no longer than any other template. Retro Print is included from the Basic plan, with an animated MP4 version.
Best for: Clubs with a heritage identity, and US programs that say game day.

When to use Retro Print
Your club was founded in 1923 and the feed should feel like it. Retro Print is for the fixture with history behind it — the derby that has been played for a century, the anniversary match, the cup tie at the old ground — where a glossy broadcast graphic would feel wrong and a printed poster feels exactly right.
For American programs it solves a smaller problem: the headline is yours to retype. Change MATCH DAY to GAME DAY for a Friday night under the lights, or SENIOR NIGHT for the last home game, and the whole stack of ghost echoes updates with it. One or two short words keep the effect legible.
What the finished graphic should include
- A headline of one or two short words — MATCH DAY, GAME DAY, DERBY DAY
- Both crests, yours and the opponent’s
- Kickoff time, large enough to read on a phone
- The featured player’s name and position under the cut-out
- A player photo with clean edges — plain backgrounds cut out best
Retro Print, answered
Yes. The big wordmark is a text field on this design: type GAME DAY, DERBY DAY, CUP FINAL or SENIOR NIGHT and the gradient headline and every ghost echo behind it update together. It renders in capitals, and one or two short words look best.
No — Spotlight is the free matchday design. Retro Print is included from Basic ($9/mo or $90/yr), which also removes the watermark and gives you 8 images + 8 videos every month; Pro ($15/mo) makes exports unlimited.
It takes its palette from the primary and secondary colours you saved at setup, so it always looks like your club rather than a stock template. If a busy photo fights the texture, swap to a player shot taken against a plain wall — it gives the cleanest cut-out and lets the print effect breathe.
