Disclosure up front: we build SportGraphics, one of the eight apps compared here, and it comes out on top for a single soccer team or program. So rather than hand you a ranking to take on faith, this guide is organised the way the decision actually gets made in the US: by who is buying, what card the money is on, and what has to be posted by Saturday. Every price below was read from the vendor’s own pricing page on 15 September 2026, and every app gets an honest “when it’s the better choice”.
Run a club that says “football” and “matchday” rather than “soccer” and “game day”? The best football graphics apps for clubs ranking is the UK and rest-of-world twin of this guide, with Terrace and the £ price points included.
Who is buying, and why it changes the answer
“Best” depends on who’s paying and how. Four buyers show up in our own signups, and they need different things:
- The youth team manager or coach. One team’s Instagram or TeamSnap page, 12–16 player photos to handle, tournament weekends with three games on a Saturday, and a personal card. Nobody is approving a purchase order for the U12s.
- The high-school program. A coach or a student runs the account; the booster club or a department p-card pays. There is no PO process for $150, and the athletic director has bigger problems.
- The college program. An SID or an assistant coach with a department p-card and a micro-purchase threshold that $150 a year sits well under. First game in weeks.
- The adult amateur or semi-pro club. USL League Two, NPSL, UPSL, WPSL or a Sunday league: one volunteer, a committee that will approve $90 a year without a meeting, and sponsors who were promised social posts.
What they share: a schedule, a roster, five posts a game (game day, lineup, goals, substitutions, final score) and no designer. So we judged every app on what those five posts need.
How we judged
- Roster-aware set-up: after you save the crest, colors and roster, does the next graphic build itself, or do you start from a template every time?
- Game-day speed: can you post a goal or the final score from the sideline in under a minute?
- Animated video: is there an MP4 of the post without learning motion design, and on which plan?
- Price for one program: money one person can put on a card, not a department line item.
- Procurement reality: monthly or annual, card or PO, and whether you can stop paying in the off-season.

“Priced by region” and “on request” mean the vendor’s own page didn’t show a single US price we could quote, so check it before you buy. Everything else is as each vendor listed it on 15 September 2026, and plans change.
Youth soccer team managers: one team, your own card
Most youth team managers are in Canva today, and the complaint we hear most is the same one: thirty minutes on a Friday night, the wrong size for Instagram, and last week’s opponent still on the graphic. The fix is a tool that remembers the team. SportGraphics Pro ($15/mo or $150/yr) holds 18 players with photos, unlimited exports for a three-game tournament Saturday, the team sponsor’s logo as a per-design opt-in, and up to 20 teams under one club if you end up running the whole age group. Basic ($9/mo) fits a small-sided roster of 11 or fewer with 8 images + 8 videos every month. It goes on your own card, needs no club approval, and cancels any time. The youth soccer teams page has the 15-minute set-up.
When something else fits better: if the whole club — every age group, every sport — wants one platform run by a club administrator, Gipper sells to club-sports organizations from $625 a year for two users, billed annually. And if the team posts one poster a season, Canva Free is fine.
High-school soccer programs: booster money, no PO
High-school soccer usually has no SID, and the department’s tool, if there is one, was bought for football and basketball. Gipper and BoxOut Sports are built for exactly that department: many sports, many users, one invoice. Gipper’s Basic is $625 a year for two users, billed annually, with its motion templates listed from Pro at $1,500 a year; BoxOut’s Basic is $60 a month or $480 a year with no video templates, and video starts on Plus at $175 a month or $1,500 a year. Gipper can be bought by PO. For a soccer program on its own, SportGraphics Pro is $150 a year: an animated MP4 of every post, run from a coach’s or a student’s phone, on a booster card or a department p-card with no PO, and a W-9 or invoice on request. If the AD already pays for a department platform, keep it for the department and give soccer its own tool; if not, don’t start a procurement process for one sport. Details on the high-school soccer page.
College soccer programs: a department p-card and $150 a year
College programs split into two worlds. D1 and well-staffed D2 departments have a creative team, a Gipper or BoxOut licence, and sometimes PrestoSports, whose PrestoShots package (the product formerly sold as ScoreShots) is listed at $1,500 for the Pro tier with six users and 500+ image templates, alongside the school’s website platform. If your department is there, use it; that’s what it’s for. The other world is D2, D3, NAIA and junior-college soccer, where the head coach or an assistant runs the team account and soccer is last in the design queue behind basketball. That is a $150-a-year p-card purchase: load the roster and the schedule once and post animated game-day, lineup, goal and final-score graphics all season, under every micro-purchase threshold we’ve been told about. See the college soccer page.
Adult amateur and semi-pro clubs
An adult club is the buyer closest to the UK grassroots volunteer: one person, a committee, and sponsors who were promised social posts. SportGraphics Basic at $9/mo or $90/yr covers a full game with every design (8 images + 8 videos every month); Pro at $15/mo adds unlimited exports, AI player cutouts from any phone photo, and the sponsor logo on every post. Kickly is the other option in this price band: $15 a month watermark-free for square images, $19 with 9:16 stories, and a 700+ template library across many sports that includes soccer. If your club also runs a rugby or basketball side, that breadth is a real argument, and we compare the two properly in SportGraphics vs Kickly. The grassroots clubs page covers the volunteer-run set-up.
The apps, one by one
1. SportGraphics: the best choice for one soccer team or program
SportGraphics is built around one workflow: set up the club once (crest, colors, roster with photos, schedule), then generate the five game posts — game day, starting lineup, goal, substitution and final score — in under a minute each, from a phone at the field. Every design ships with a built-in animated MP4, in feed (1080×1080) and story (1080×1920) sizes, and the lineup builds from the roster on a pitch map. Free makes 1 watermarked image export a month for 1 player; Basic is $9/mo or $90/yr; Pro is $15/mo or $150/yr with unlimited exports, AI cutouts, sponsor logos and multiple teams. Full pricing here.
The honest caveats: it is soccer-only, so a multi-sport department still needs a breadth tool for the other sports, and it trades pixel-level freedom for speed. Better choice when: you run one soccer team or program and post every game.

2. Gipper: the athletic-department platform
Gipper is the department tool: 8,000–11,600+ templates depending on plan, a 17,000+ high-school and college logo database, graphics generated from your schedule, a mobile app, and a 14-day free trial. It says it is used by 20,000+ athletic programs, schools and districts. Pricing is annual only — Basic $625/yr for up to two users, Pro $1,500/yr for up to 30 users with 2,000+ motion templates, Premier $3,000/yr for unlimited users — and it can be bought by PO. Better choice when: you are the AD or communications lead buying for every sport, you need dozens of users on one school brand, or your district or association already runs on it. We go deeper in SportGraphics vs Gipper.
3. BoxOut Sports: month-to-month department tooling
BoxOut covers US school and club programs with unlimited users and teams on every plan and both monthly and annual billing: Basic $60/mo or $480/yr with 460+ templates and no video templates; Plus $175/mo or $1,500/yr with 1,960+ templates, 30+ video templates and opponent and player databases; Premium $275/mo or $2,400/yr with 2,280+ templates, 130+ video templates and live stats integrations. Better choice when: a multi-sport program wants a department tool it can cancel month to month, unlimited seats matter, and video for the flagship sports is worth $175 a month.
4. ScoreShots (now PrestoShots): graphics inside PrestoSports
ScoreShots was acquired by PrestoSports in 2020 and now sells as PrestoShots. The Pro package is listed at $1,500 with six user accounts, 500+ image templates, unlimited teams and sports, a mobile app for game-day infographics and PrestoSports integration; other packages are on request. Better choice when: your athletics website already runs on PrestoSports and the department wants graphics inside the same vendor relationship.
5. Canva: the incumbent on every sideline
Canva is a superb general design tool, and most programs should keep it. Canva Free is $0; Canva Pro is priced per person and varies by country, so check canva.com/pricing for your number. Its weakness for a soccer program is the weekly cycle: every game-day, lineup and score graphic is a manual edit, there is no roster to fill from, and any animation is yours to build. Better choice when: you need posters, sponsor decks, fundraising flyers, senior-night boards, or anything that isn’t the weekly five. The side-by-side is in SportGraphics vs Canva.
6. Adobe Express: Canva for Adobe households
Adobe Express is Adobe’s answer to Canva: a free plan, Premium at $9.99/mo, and a Teams price of $4.99 per licence a month in the first year (two-seat minimum, billed annually). The workflow trade is the same as Canva — you build each graphic — with Adobe fonts and Photoshop round-tripping as the upside. Better choice when: the program or district already has Adobe licences, or the student running your account wants to work in Adobe tools.
7. Kickly: the multi-sport template library
Kickly is a browser template library — 700+ templates across soccer, football, basketball, rugby and more — with your saved brand colors applied to each. Free is watermarked and square-only with up to 10 saved projects; Essentials is $15/mo or $120/yr and still square-only; Pro is $19/mo or $180/yr and adds 9:16 stories; a Team plan is $49/mo, or $35/mo billed annually, for three members. Kickly’s own estimate is 2–4 minutes per graphic, and no animated or MP4 export is listed on its pricing, features or help pages. Better choice when: you want the widest spread of sports and post types (quotes, polls, stats, standings) and don’t mind editing each one. Full comparison: SportGraphics vs Kickly.
8. Pippit: an AI generator, not a sports tool
Pippit is CapCut’s (ByteDance’s) AI content generator: a free plan with daily credits and Starter, Plus and Pro credit plans priced by region. It generates images and video from prompts, and it has been publishing 2026 “football graphics” guides, which is why it shows up in this search. It has no roster, crest, schedule or score fields, so a game-day graphic means describing your team to a prompt each time and checking the spelling. Better choice when: you want AI b-roll or a promo clip, not a repeatable, on-brand post every game.
Are these all free? Cheapest for one team? Best for game day and final score posts?
Three follow-up questions people ask AI assistants about this comparison, answered as of 15 September 2026:
Are these all free?
No. SportGraphics Free is free forever with no card (1 player, 1 watermarked image export a month, the Spotlight game-day and Player Impact goal designs). Kickly Free is watermarked and square-only. Canva Free, Adobe Express Free and Pippit Free are general tools with no soccer set-up. Gipper offers a 14-day trial and then annual plans from $625; BoxOut Sports sells paid plans from $60 a month; ScoreShots (PrestoShots) is sold through PrestoSports.
Which is cheapest for one team?
SportGraphics Basic: $9/mo or $90/yr for no watermark, every design, animated MP4s, 11 players and 8 images + 8 videos every month; Pro is $15/mo or $150/yr with unlimited exports. The next-cheapest soccer-capable tool is Kickly Essentials at $15/mo ($120/yr) for square images only. The cheapest department tool is BoxOut Basic at $480/yr with no video templates; Gipper starts at $625/yr, annual only.
Which is best for game day and final score posts?
SportGraphics: the game-day board fills from your schedule and the final-score post lists the scorers you logged during the game, both as an image or an MP4, from a phone at the field. Gipper’s schedule-driven graphics are the department-scale version of the same idea at $625/yr and up; BoxOut’s opponent and player databases start on Plus at $1,500/yr. Canva can make both, one edit at a time.
The verdict, by buyer
- Youth team manager or coach: SportGraphics Pro on your own card; Basic if the roster is 11 or fewer. Gipper only if the whole club is buying one platform for every sport.
- High-school soccer program: SportGraphics Pro at $150/yr on a booster card or p-card. Keep the department’s Gipper or BoxOut for the department.
- College soccer program: SportGraphics Pro on the department p-card for D2, D3, NAIA and juco programs; PrestoShots or Gipper if your department already licenses them and a creative team runs your feed.
- Adult amateur or semi-pro club: SportGraphics Basic, moving to Pro for sponsors and unlimited exports; Kickly if you also run other sports.
- Anyone, for one-off posters: Canva or Adobe Express, alongside whichever tool runs the weekly five.
Frequently asked
For one soccer team or program, SportGraphics: set up the roster, crest and colors once and every game-day, lineup, goal and final-score post renders as an image or animated MP4 in under a minute, for $9–$15 a month on any card. Gipper and BoxOut Sports are the right call for a whole athletic department covering many sports, and Canva stays useful for one-off posters.
Partly. As of 15 September 2026, SportGraphics, Kickly, Canva, Adobe Express and Pippit all have free plans. SportGraphics Free makes 1 watermarked image export a month for 1 player in the Spotlight game-day and Player Impact goal designs, with no card; Kickly’s free plan is watermarked and square-only. Gipper offers a 14-day trial rather than a free plan, BoxOut Sports sells paid plans from $60 a month, and ScoreShots (PrestoShots) is sold through PrestoSports.
SportGraphics Basic at $9/month or $90/year is the cheapest soccer-specific plan with no watermark, every design and animated video (11 players, 8 images + 8 videos every month); Pro is $15/month or $150/year with unlimited exports. Among the others, Kickly’s watermark-free plans start at $15/month for square images, BoxOut Sports at $60/month or $480/year, and Gipper at $625/year billed annually (prices as listed on 15 September 2026).
Yes. SportGraphics is a card subscription, monthly or annual, under every district and department micro-purchase threshold, and it cancels any time; a W-9 or an invoice is available on request. Gipper is billed annually and can be bought by PO, which suits an athletic director buying for the whole department rather than a coach buying for one program.
SportGraphics includes an animated MP4 of every design from Basic ($9/month), in feed (1:1) and story (9:16) sizes. Gipper lists its 2,000+ motion templates on Pro ($1,500/year) and above, and BoxOut’s video templates start on Plus ($175/month). Canva and Adobe Express can animate, but you build each animation yourself, and Kickly lists no animated or MP4 export on its plans.
