The Gipper alternative for soccer programs
SportGraphics is a Gipper alternative for soccer programs: a soccer-only matchday studio at $9–$15 a month, or $90–$150 a year, on any card, with an animated MP4 of every design. Gipper is a multi-sport athletic-department platform from $625 to $3,000 a year, billed annually, with purchase orders available. Each is right for someone — here is who.
| What matters for a soccer program | SportGraphics | Gipper |
|---|---|---|
| Price and billing | Free plan; Basic $9/mo or $90/yr; Pro $15/mo or $150/yr. Monthly or annual, on any card, cancel any time | Basic $625/yr (up to 2 users), Pro $1,500/yr (up to 30 users), Premier $3,000/yr (unlimited users). Annual billing only; purchase by PO available |
| Sports covered | Soccer only, by design — every event, formation and template assumes a soccer match | Built for whole athletic departments: templates across the school sports calendar, with a 17,000+ school logo database |
| Animated video | Every design has a built-in MP4 version, in 1:1 and 9:16, from Basic ($9/mo) | 2,000+ motion and video templates listed on Pro and Premier ($1,500/yr and up) |
| Roster-aware set-up | Crest, colors, a roster of up to 18 players with photos, and the schedule saved once; game-day, lineup, goal, sub and final-score designs fill themselves | School branding and logo database, graphics generated from your schedule, and a large template library you customize per post |
| Phone use | Mobile web app: post a goal or the final score from the sideline in under a minute | Mobile app included with its Engage plans |
| Procurement | Under every micro-purchase threshold: a coach, booster or SID puts it on a card; W-9 or invoice on request | Annual plans by card or PO with a 14-day free trial; fits a department budget cycle |
| Who it is really for | One soccer program or team that posts every game | An athletic department, district or club organization covering many sports and many users |

When Gipper is the better choice
- A department-wide, multi-sport buy. Football, basketball, volleyball, baseball and soccer on one platform, one brand kit and one invoice. That is what Gipper is built for and what SportGraphics deliberately is not.
- District, conference or association deals. If your district or state association already runs on Gipper — its site quotes a PIAA district communications director — staying inside that licence beats adding a second tool.
- Big programs and D1. Dozens of users, content requests, a creative team that wants a 10,000+ template library and school-wide consistency. Gipper’s Pro and Premier plans exist for exactly this.
- You must buy by PO. Gipper’s annual plans fit a purchase-order budget cycle. SportGraphics is a card subscription; we can send a W-9 or an invoice, but we are not a PO vendor.
When SportGraphics is
- You run one soccer program. A high-school, college or youth team where the coach, an SID or a parent is the one posting — and soccer is last in the department’s design queue.
- The budget is a card, not a line item. $150 a year on a booster card or a department p-card, no PO, and you can stop paying in the off-season.
- You want animated posts now. An MP4 of every design from $9/mo, not from $1,500/yr.
- The roster is the point. Up to 18 players with photos, the lineup on a pitch map, the scorers on the final-score post, and the season starts in weeks — set-up takes about fifteen minutes from a phone.
The practical set-up for most schools: keep Gipper for the department, and give the soccer program its own tool on a card. See plans and pricing, the full soccer graphics apps comparison, or how we compare with Canva and Kickly.
Gipper questions, answered
For a soccer program, yes. Gipper is a multi-sport platform sold to athletic departments from $625 to $3,000 a year, billed annually. SportGraphics is a soccer-only matchday studio at $9–$15 a month or $90–$150 a year: set up the roster and branding once and every game-day, lineup, goal, substitution and final-score post renders as an image or animated MP4. If you are buying for one soccer team, it does the soccer job for a fraction of the price; if you are buying for a whole department, Gipper is the broader tool.
As listed on gipper.com/pricing on 15 September 2026, Gipper’s Engage plans are $625/yr (Basic, up to 2 users), $1,500/yr (Pro, up to 30 users, with 2,000+ motion templates) and $3,000/yr (Premier, unlimited users) — annual billing only, purchase by PO available, 14-day free trial. SportGraphics is free to start, then $9/mo or $90/yr (Basic) and $15/mo or $150/yr (Pro), monthly or annual on any card. A soccer program pays $150 a year for unlimited animated exports on SportGraphics Pro against $1,500 a year for Gipper’s first plan that lists motion templates.
Yes, and it is the common set-up: the department keeps Gipper for football, basketball, volleyball and school-wide branding, and the soccer program runs its own game-day feed on SportGraphics. Nothing has to be migrated — you upload the same crest and colors, add the soccer roster and schedule, and the two tools never touch.
Not yet. SportGraphics is soccer-only, which is exactly why the soccer graphics run deeper — game day, lineup, goal, substitution and final score are built around how a match actually unfolds. If your department needs basketball or volleyball covered this season, keep the department tool for those and give soccer its own. We log every request for another sport as a vote for what comes next.
